Would you rather build a tiny prefab house on an acre of land or Live in a small apartment in the city?
Would you rather buy a tiny prefab house on a acre of land away from city with lots of space to grow food, cattle and yard or live in the city in a small rented space or an apartment. You can have a car or a motorbike to travel to the city may be 15-20 minutes away.

I'm a country boy at heart, I'll take the acre every time. In fact I already did. My current house is on a shy acre in a suburb.
Depends. What will you be doing in the city? And you cannot have cattle on an acre of land. Not enough grass to graze on.
While you could have a nice yard and garden with an acre of land, there's no way you're going to have cattle.
I prefer the country. I grew up on a 10 acre farm with cattle. 1 acre is not big enough for cattle btw. Not big enough to grow much food either. You have to realize that the full acre will not be usable space. Out in the country you will have to have well & septic. You don't want steer trampling over your leach field.
A man near me bought a piece of property and put a small metal building and a tent and various other junk and a mailbox & no trespassing sign. He gets mail, he picks up litter regularly but he does not have power or a car.
Once I saw him cooking on a grill but otherwise, im not sure how he lives. Im not even sure its legal but he does not bother anyone as its in the middle of an otherwise wooded area.
I'm not sure if he is planning on building himself or what? I may stop and talk to him one of these days.
I can only spend about 48 hours in the city and must escape. The nasty smell, the pollution, the maggots, the cockaroaches, the nasty people, the noise, the filth. I'll take the acre
