Car suspension component broken, need help identifying the piece?

this Is on the drivers side in the back, the rusty bar attached to the hub attached to the frame snapped in half. Is this the rear lower control arm? Thanks.

Could be called a control arm but probably best described as a rear lower "trailing" arm.
For your car these are sold in any auto parts store.

Take to a mechanic because I as a mechanic cannot figure out WTF I am looking at. Photo is lousy. If it broke on one side then the other may be close to follow.
