No the FBI investigated Trump because he publicly asked the Russians to hack Hillary Clintons emails and has now been admitted by Kushner and others that they met with Russians to find "dirt" on the Democrats.
Tell me if Obama had asked the Russians to spy on McCain or Romney and his election campaign had been having secret meetings with Russians to find evidence to discredit his opponents, then lied about it under oath, would you have said an FBI investigation was the "Deep State spying on Obama"

The government letter agencies spy on all politicos, have been doing so since Hoover. The potential for controlling blackmail is incredible.
The Homeland Security act made it even easier.
Does anyone in the real world really think that congress telling HSA to no longer collect communications will make them stop, or the CIA or the FBI.
The letter agencies are not interest in crime as it affects the public, as much as it is interested in controlling and protecting their jobs.
