Is it true Pitbulls and similar breeds (staffies, american bulldogs ect.) are chronic snugglers?

Any Pitbulls I have ever been around have been. I had one that would sleep with me every night. When I visited my son last year their Pit wouldn't leave me alone the entire time I was there.
The pitties that we have fostered have all been big lap babies.
"Similar breeds"? The Pit Bull is NOT a recognized breed. It's just a mix of bully breeds a TYPE of dog.
Whether a dog likes to snuggle or not depends on the individual dog not it's breed - or lack of in the case of a bully breed mutt. I don't find anything "snuggly" about dogs that make up over 70% of deaths by dog attack and have such short fur. My fluffy Newfoundland is FAR more snuggly AND super gentle and sweet - unlike bully breed mutts.
Each dog is an individual. Pitbull is not a breed, it's a type. While its true that many of them are sweet and affectionate dogs, what you do NOT see is the huge number that shelters euthanize due to unstable temperaments, aggression, etc. In some shelters they euthanize 96% of all pit types brought in as they are 1) the most overbred dog out there and 2) they can be genetically an unstable mess thanks to low-lifes who think aggression to humans is a fine trait in a dog. My local shelter is very big into pit rescue - and they temperament test each and every dog. They still euthanize about 50% of the pits that come in, sometimes more. So yes, that leaves the cuddly and sweet dogs, but not ever pit type can pass that temperament test.
They do eat babies though.
