What does it mean when a guy sees a gurl as more “long term”?

The great dichotomy in dating is that most females go into it thinking "I hope this guy is boyfriend material" and most guys go into it thinking "I hope this girl is doable". Women are pleasantly surprised when a guy seems like a keeper. Guys on the other hand get confused when anything more than lust pops into their heads. So what he likely means is that he sees you as more than a one night stand and would like to see where things go. It doesn't mean you're "official" or exclusive. Just that you've transcended "slutty" in his mind and he needs time to let that settle.

It means he feels you two have some connection and chemistry, if i had to guess. But OBSERVE him and don't jump in with both feet until you get to know him a bit better.
