"戲碼"須看用在何種情形，一種是用在戲劇中，即指戲劇情節 "plot".
一種是用在人的行為上，意指"技倆" 、"花招"，也就是騙人，唬人的作為，例如，這學生想請假，就裝病，這是他慣用的戲碼。又例 這議員有演不完的政治戲碼，讓人民很難相信他。如是用在這情形上，英文字應是"trick"
