I was thinking of just wrapping them individually, putting them in a drawstring bag, and then putting the bag in a box of paper confetti.
Does this sound like a good way to ship them? If not, how should I do it instead? My biggest concern is heat.

I buy caramels online from Piece, Love, and Pie Company. They come individually wrapped in waxed paper inside a one-layer cardboard box (like a bakery box, or a shirt gift box, that weight), which is inside a larger corrugated cardboard box to protect them from being crushed. IIRC, there's no plastic wrap or anything, and they're always fresh on arrival.

Wrapping them in newspaper would be better than confetti.

OP here- I forgot to mention, I would like to avoid using styrofoam and plastic if possible.
