Why do some of the Winnie the Pooh characters look like stuffed animals (like Kanga and Eeyore) while others (like Owl and rabbit) don't?

I would assume it’s based on where Christopher Robin was playing. It’s based on a child’s imagination. He was probably playing in his yard and saw a real rabbit and owl that they were based on. The others were probably actual toys that his mind made come to life while he was playing.

-Many of the characters were originally toys owned by Christopher Robin. Last I heard they were on display at the NYC Public Library.
