Need help with this question.?
Commercial sodium hydroxide has a concentration of 18.6 mol/L. How many mL of sodium hydroxide solution can be prepared from 30.0 g of sodium hydroxide?
回答 (2)
Molar mass of NaOH = (23.0 + 16.0 + 1.0) g/mol = 40.0 g/mol
Moles of NaOH = (30.0 g) / (40.0 g/mol) = 0.750 mol
Volume of NaOH solution = (0.750 mol) / (18.6 mol/L) = 0.0403 L = 40.3 mL
M = moles/liters ... 30.0 / 40 = 0.75 moles
18.6 = (0.75) / V
V = 24.8L or 24,800 mL
