Additional minutes after the shift at work?

You spent more than three minutes of your shift socializing, going to the bathroom, checking your phone, getting a drink, day dreaming or any other number of distractions.

Just work the 3 extra minutes.

3 minutes ?? You probably wasted 3 minutes during your shift. Just do it (and without grumbling)!

You could just refuse. And he could just FIRE you for no reason. Come on, it's 3 minutes. Makes you look good to just do it and not complain.

3 minutes is nothing and if that is an order from your supervisor then you better do as you are told...3 minutes is worth a penny you can pay yourself with a penny found in the parking lot.

You do have to watch them, because it's a common practice there to ask employees to work off the clock. If it's less than 5 minutes however, just do it and don't complain.

If it's under 5 minutes, do it. If they say stay longer, clock out when they let you go.

If you punched out at 12:03 am then you're not working for free. 3 extra minutes isn't likely going to ruin your life.
