i need to amend my taxes. they did not give me all my child tax credit and i had to pay back this year. Alot of things not done right?

The child tax credit is not 100% refundable. It is first used to offset any tax liability and then the remainder can be refunded up to $1400/child. Make sure you're correct about the errors before you start amending. Not sure what you mean about having to pay back.

So amend them.

Then you should amend your return.
