I’m just wanting to know how can I exhibit some masculine characteristics as a teen? Do you have any ideas..? And how were you as a teen, referring to males ?
I was an awkward, clueless nerd. 50 years later I'm not much better, though less clueless. In the end, we are who we are -- with different length learning curves.
Masculinity isn't so much about the way you stand, or talk, or move your body around - as it is ATTITUDE. Each culture has its model male behaviour, and most of them are surprisingly similar. If you demonstrate a masculine attitude, all the other things cease to be significant.
In the Western culture, the male attitude is typified by self-determination, confidence, imperturbability, a focus on action and results, a resistance to interference, unvoiced passion (hidden deep feelings), endurance, and disdain for superficiality. (Notice that this list does NOT include things like strength, ferocity (fierceness), athleticism, agility, impatience with fools, unerring judgment, or high IQ.)
Think about how someone who displays all those attributes in his attitude. What does he do? What does he NOT do? The more you can emulate that, the less any of the other things matter.
