I have known him for 3 years and he is discharging me soon. We were doing a vocab test just for fun the other day, he used the word “ogle” and he then said “you see an attractive woman and you O_O at them” while staring into my eyes which was strange, he also said I was attractive and I “rock his world” he then stated “aha it was just a joke” immediately after.. probably cuz my face dropped. He never used to like me because of my reputation but he got to know me and now he said he is missing me and all this, I just turned 20 the other week btw. He’s a really good guy and I’ll miss him too, I tried not to reduce myself to tears. Im just trying to get another perspective on this? Thanks

Yes, it's completely normal. You shared your most intimate thoughts with him and trusted him to not judge you, no matter what you discussed. A bond and a type of relationship was made. Anything that is positive in our lives hurts when it ends. Even though you know you have finished your therapy doesn't mean you don't feel like it's a loss. I also agree with the other answer, there's no reason you can't be friends after the sessions are over.

There's nothing wrong with you two guys becoming good friends out of office hours.
