Getting in touch with old classmates?

I graduated from college like 4 years ago, I just got a friend request on facebook, and I immediately remembered him as one of my classmates that I studied with him, but I don t want to get in touch with any of them, it s like that era is over, I don t want to remember it, should I decline the request or he may get upset?

Decline the request if you want. Who cares if he "gets upset". It's just Facebook for god sake. Not sure why people find facebook so important as if it is some sort of life strengthening nutrient? Its just a dumb social site.
