That entirely depends on your personal interpretation of the word "edgy". Words of that sort are always subject to personal interpretation.

This is a very subjective question. Any answer will be based upon one's own definition of "edgy." Not to mention that you only give generalizations such as "gory." How gory is it? What is gory to one, may not be gory to another.

I think you are looking at it wrong. "Edgy" has picked up a negative connotation for a good reason. It's when someone tries too hard to be or make something it's not. Peole pick up on forced "danger" personas.

Just do quality work and it will fall into place. If you lean toward darker art styles, then that's great. Just make sure it is quality and you enjoy it. It will seem more natural.
