Is America on the verge of banning guns?

Originally I didn't think they actually would but after hearing that Britain is thinking about banning knives it makes me wonder.

No. Even if they were banned, it would take a century or two to confiscate them all and lots of people would be hurt or killed in the process.

No, America is more likely to give up oil/gasoline than guns.

No, they would ban breathing before banning guns.

No....
We have the 2nd Amendment.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

Hell, no. If Sandy Hook didn't do it, nothing will.

Carrying knives over a certain blade length has always been illegal in Britain. That is why the favored weapon of certain football gangs used to be 'box-cutters' with blades below that length.

No
They will never ban guns
They might ban certain types of guns, which the supreme court has upheld

No chance, the gun lobby is much too strong and they can always hide behind the constitution

No. What we will see is a continuation of the Post Civil War gun grab by Democrats. They have been banning and grabbing guns since that war and it is their racism that is the basis of many of our gun bans, starting with Jim Crow laws to keep the Blacks in place. That gave us the 1934, 1968 and 1994 gun bans and since it seems they get lucky every 30 years, they are due for another success. If they get the White House, Senate and House in 2020 they will pass another restrictive gun bill. But they will not ban guns. We the people got them outnumbered and out gunned.

" hearing that Britain is thinking about banning knives"
It has been illegal to carry a knife in a public place in the UK for several years.

I don't think so

Certainly not. I am sure that there are sufficient firearms in the US to overthrow the elected Government

The new Offensive Weapons Bill which will begin the process of changing of what is considered a legal knife, where they can be used/carried by the general public and how they can be acquired.

The big changes are mostly about the types of knives and ‘weapons’ that can be owned in private and where they can be carried, plus is a ban on knives being bought online being shipped to a residential address.

The new law would not ban people from buying or carrying knives, just tighten up the existing laws on what knives are legal and what constitutes a legal right to carry a knife in public.

Just like UK gun laws, which have strict laws which control and regulate gun ownership, but that does not stop many people in the UK owning one or more guns.

It is an extreme situation: some love guns but some fear guns too much. A bullet can hit one small point. Theoretically, the possibility for a bullet to hit one person is zero. It is so easy to kill because of fear. You should be like water: keeping your mind open, trust your sense, be formless and shapeless; then you can escape from that bullet point.
