The engine is happy with 87, but 91 will do no harm. Try a tank of 91 and see if mpg improves. Otherwise you're good to go with 87. Never ever use lower than 87 or E85 unless you want to just crawl like a snail and E85 will eff up the fuel lines and injectors.

it wont matter in a common vehicle .. mainly if you want whats 'good' for it avoid high ethanol ratings ie 'circle k' gas lol .. ..

It would be an absolute waste of money using 91 octane in a Yaris!

Put the cheapest gas you can put. The Echo will not care.
