Christians, why would God even care whether you believe in him or not?

Is he really that egotistical and immature to send people to hell for simply not believing? Me, Me, Me.
Seems like God has a self esteem problem.

God asks us to honestly seek Him. We cannot honestly seek anything unless we assume that what we seek actually exists.

Does God really care about us ?

Why the question arises : We live in a world full of cruelty and injustice. Many religions teach that the suffering we experience are God's will.

What the Bible teaches: God never causes what is wicked. "Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly !" says Job 34:10. God has loving purpose for humans. that is why Jesus taught us to pray : "Our Father in the heavens , let . . . your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heave, as upon earth." (Matthew 6:9,10) God cares so deeply about us that he has gone to great lengths to make the fulfillment of his purpose a certainty. - John 3:16. See also Genesis 1:26-28; James 1:13; and 1 Peter 5:6,7.

Do you have children? I'm guessing that you don't but regardless if you do or don't, don't you think that you'd get offended or hurt that your child or children had no faith or trust in you? I think you would.

HE ISN'T EGOTISTICAL OR IMMATURE BUT YOU SURE ARE

Well, it's just that people who do not believe God exists will spend an eternity alienated from Him. And that means being in the once 'place' or situation, more accurately, where there is the total absence of all that God is - love, light, righteousness, justice... It's called hell, which then moves on to what the Bible describes as "the second death" - a condition from which nobody will ever revive. They will eternally be in blackest darkness, where there is no love or anything that makes life worth living.

Because God loves humanity, He has advised us of this danger, and how He has provided the only way to avoid ending up in that unspeakably awful situation. The question is, why would God care so much that He, in Christ, suffered to deal with all that keeps us away from His love? Why would God care so much that He even gives faith to believe? Only those utterly determined to reject God would refuse to believe in such a caring God.

No, it is you who has the problems.

Your sin will cause you everlasting suffering but God has accomplished a salvation from sin.

He saves from Hell. Why then are you saying the opposite?

God does not do that. It is religion that does that.
