sorry, she was thinking to herself. and they were the last at the dance, she just met him. running away from finding out her husband had someone else whom was pregnant...she goes to a cabin of her boss.....meets the lodge keeper, I should have gave more details sorry

he knows to keep an eye on her, so he ask her to the dance, this is after they did other events. ...just didn't want to write the whole scene too long.
