meaning will just settling being a cna be enough to live comfortably or will you just be making enough to get by?

CNAs don’t get paid a lot, and your finances will probably always be tight.

It's an entry-level position. Like all entry-level positions, they pay at the bottom of the scale within the career field. EMTs make less than paramedics. Paralegals make a lot less than lawyers. CNAs are unlicensed assistive personnel. So they make less than an LPN or other licensed health care worker.

Whether that's sufficient for you is entirely up to you. Plenty of people live just fine on very little money. Some people struggle no matter what their income is. Much of that is about how good you are with your money. Don't expect to make more than $20 an hour without years of experience. If that can meet your needs, then you're good. If it can't, then you have some decisions to make.
