I created a WORD document and it got locked, how I don't know, but I am unable to add to it. Does anybody know how to unlock it?

Dinky left out a step:
Open doc and press Ctr-A and then Ctrl-C to copy the entire doc to the clipboard
Ctrl-N to open a new doc and then Ctrl-V to paste contents of clipboard to the new doc
Can you open and read the document?
If you can ...
(1) Open it.
(2) Press CTRL and A to select everything in the document
(3) Open a new, empty document.
(4) Press CTRL and V to paste everything in the Windows Clipboard
(5) Save this document with whatever name you prefer
You should be good to go.
Check the settings, you may have made it a 'read only' document. Go to the help section of Word, do a search for "Read Only' - I'm not sure where to find it myself, but when something goes into "Read Only" no one can change a thing to it. It seems likely that you may have inadvertently clicked on it... or it could be Word glitched.
i would take it to a connputer store, they know how to unlock stuff like that
