She was very far from wishing to dwell on her own feelings or to representherself as suffering much, 『any otherwise than as the self command she had practised since her first knowledge of Edward`s engagement ,might suggest a hintof what was practicable to Marianne.』
上下引號（這是我自己加上去的）中的句子不太能夠理解其文法結構，any otherwisethan是什麼意思？整句的主詞是什麼（且any前面沒有連接詞，怪怪的）？整句又是什麼意思？
