Can someone help me change my purpose for my science fair topic? It needs to be better to help the society somehow... PLS?

I build a homemade bomb calorimeter and when I presented it to my class and my teacher, my teacher told me that I need to change my purpose bc my initial purpose isn't going to help the society...

Initial purpose: To determine if the mass of different types of chemical structures in food affect the number of calories it contains.
