I'm talking about the logo flight bags such as the Pan Am and American Airlines bags. I've come across a definition on Wikipedia saying they were for flight related manuals, documents and equipment for the pilots. However, I've also seen photos of both passengers using logoed bags from the flight they are on are carry-on luggage and all flight attendants having one as standard issue. This is in older images of early commercial jet travel.
Where would these bags have been obtained for the public who used them? Did you get one sent to your address after booking so it would be ready for the flight?
And would flight attendants have used them for their own carry-on luggage or just for airline specific equipment?
