英文的句點使用跟absolute construction?

像下面這句若使用句點去分開

寫成 A number....candidate.Some would hold her briefcase. Some would protect her from being disturbed.

或是 A number....candidate.Some were going to hold her briefcase. Some were going to protect her from being disturbed.

或是 A number....candidate.Some were holding her briefcase. Some were protecting her from being disturbed.

A number of body guards followed the female candidate, some to hold her briefcase, some to protect her from being disturbed.?

前面三種寫法，哪一句比較接近absolute construction 的寫法?

使用 Some were to hold....... 跟 Some were to protect.....好像是最好的. 但是上述三種寫法合適嗎?

1.寫成 A number of body guards followed the female candidate. Some would hold her briefcase. Some would protect her from being disturbed(X).
前半句是過去式，相同時點的動作除了用分詞或不定詞結構，也應用相同時態，即不宜增加助動詞(would)，形成過去未來式(I told him I would help him later/我告訴他稍後會協助他)

2.或是 A number of body guards followed the female candidate. Some were going to hold her briefcase. Some were going to protect her from being disturbed(X).
Am/is/are going to 意義為未來式意義，was/were going to 是過去未來式意義( I told you he was going to come to the party/我之前告訴過你他會來參加聚會)，意義差很大

3.或是 A number of body guards followed the female candidate. Some were holding her briefcase. Some were protecting her from being disturbed(X).
同上原因，不宜增加Be動詞變成過去進行式(用於強調特定時段正在發生的事(問Q: What were you doing at 9:00 this morning? 答: I was eating the cake.)
