I am getting a tattoo on my arm but I also just started hitting the gym. Will the process of my body growth do anything to the tattoo?

I just stared getting in the gym and was wondering if I get a tattoo will the process of my biceps growing do anything to the tattoo I’m getting on my arm next week? I always was hesitant about getting a tattoo on my arm thinking my arms would grow but the tattoo would shrink or look smaller if my arms stretch. Would this be the case?

A tattoo will change as the skin changes, so if you get really big really quickly the tattoo will warp and stretch. How much it will change is not something we can say.
You should build muscle slowly, that way the body has time to acclimate to it and you don't get stretch marks from it.

I have a 5 inch playboy bunny tattoo on my arm, with the nose on the bicep but the back closer to the tricep. I haven't noticed any issue with distortion, although when I'm at peak shape the bunny looks best when I flex. The only issue I guess is the ears stretch into my delts, so it's not like it's on a flat area, but bows out a bit.
Regardless, nobody would mistake any issue with the fact it's a playboy bunny.

The tattoo could stretch as your biceps get bigger, you can get it touched up if it stretches a lot. I haven't seen a tattoo shrink.
