Why time passes very quickly when I work?

Time passes at the same rate regardless.

BUT when you are working you have less time to pay attention to the clock so time seems to be moving faster for you.

And by the way...getting off welfare is a great achievement! Be proud of yourself forever! You are great.

Because you're keeping your self busy and not watching the clock.
Usually the first year goes buy quickly, if you like your job time will seam to go buy quicker.

Time always passes quickly when you are busy - whether you're working or doing something else which engages you. I can't get over how quickly time passes when I work a jigsaw puzzle or am on the computer, for example.

Had the same experience at my earlier job, before the plant was shut down. We stayed busy like 10 hrs per day and time really flew.
