Can you get in trouble for getting paid under the table?

I’ve been having this feud with my dads girlfriend. I smoke and she is trying to get me for that but marijuana has been decriminalized in the state of Pennsylvania. She has videos of me from when I was 17 getting in pretty bad fights with my ex. She even said she’ll get him to press chargers.. She kept threatening to call the chief of police and to have them take a hair follicle which I know they couldn’t do that unless they had a reason to but that seems like bull****. I only have one thing on her and it’s the fact that she get Paid 70 dollars each client to paint nails and she has a license for doing nails but it’s under the table. When we were fighting my dad said to scare her by saying I have a video of her doing nails and getting paid. She seem scared but said she can get up to 10,000 dollars in gifts in checks. That seems fishy to me. I feel like that’s a lie but Idk I need you guys to help. I’m gonna move out eventually and maybe I won’t do anything. I just need something to fall back on if she threatens me again. Please please help!!

Payment for services rendered (doing nails) is not a "gift." All income must be reported to IRS on tax returns, and any income tax due must be paid. If you have evidence that she is not declaring income on her tax returns, call the IRS Tax Fraud Hotline & report her for income tax fraud.

State income tax? If she's failing to report her earnings & pay any income taxes due to her state, then that's another call to the state's income tax fraud hotline.

She can get in trouble for failing to pay taxes on her income.

You, on the other hand will not. A video of someone smoking is useless, and "pressing charges" on a fight that happened months ago would almost certainly be considered retaliation and not taken seriously by the police.

If they find out, yes.

She is evading taxes. The money is for services rendered, not as a gift.

the very 1st thing to do is separate from her & her family; next is to move on with your life and forget about trying to get her in legal trouble especially when you have no proof
