My old dog started having accidents after I got a new puppy?

He is 9 months old and his name is Bentley my friend recently gave me a litter of puppies and I sold all of them except 1 and kept him. His name is beau. Bentley loved all the puppies like they were his own (they didn’t have a mother) he didn’t have any accidents while they were here until it was just the one left then he started peeing on my feet to let me know he had to go out instead of crying like he usually does he kept pooping in the same spots that he used to as a puppy it’s almost like he wants to be little again or something like he wants me to treat him like a baby, like beau 😂. He also gets jealous and stuff and that all sounds normal except for the fact that he loves beau and beau loves him they’re inseparable always cuddled up together always playing and Bentley’s never had issues w other dogs I made sure they both get well socialized around other people and they’re dogs. I just need help. I have the puppy potty trained finally and now my older one is acting up

Dogs do not "get jealous" that is a human emotion not a dogs, your daily structure has changed, your 9 month old feels anxious/insecure as the pack has changed....... get back into your daily structure and if required retrain your dog to toilet outside

Elimination issues are often a first sign of health issues. I suggest a vet check up for both dogs immediately.

I also suggest you google and read as much as you can about how dogs think. Waaaaaaayyyy to much to explain here.

You haven't just 'got' this puppy - he's the last of the litter your friend happened to give you (who does that? and they did have a mother!!). Fact is, unless your original dog, who is still a puppy, has a medical problem going on, you have to understand that he's now perhaps missing the others you had to rear and everything that went with that, and wondering what's going on with the one who now seems to be staying. All this probably, medical problem apart and do get him checked by your vet in case he has a UTI going on, just means you have to go back to puppy 1, except he should be able to hold by now! And don't wait to be asked, take him out often enough that he doesn't need to me messing indoors. Bear in mind that male dogs don't entirely empty when their urinate, always holding some back to mark with.

Dogs don't have the ability to be jealous - that's an unattractive human emotion. What they do have is the need to be included in what's available. Dogs are opportunists so if he sees you giving your attention to the puppy, he'll need some of that too. Try to make a time that's for him alone and you may find he's happier, and clean indoors again.
