Noisy flatmate - what do I do?

I live in a shared flat with 3 other people. The girl next to me plays her music really loud in the early hours of the morning (1-5am). It’s woken me up twice & more than once It’s prevented me from sleeping.

I’ve spoken to her about it saying that I have early lectures and a lot of work for uni so I need my sleep. She seemed to understand.

2 weeks later she woke me up blasting her music until 5am & I reported her to the accomodation staff the next day, asking for them to remind her about being considerate of people trying to sleep.

That was a week ago, and here I am in bed unable to sleep at 3am because of her noise. I’ve knocked on her door & asked her to turn her music down, but it’s 20 minutes later & she’s turned it up even louder and I heard her & her bf laughing at me for knocking on her door.

What do I do?

Do I report her again, even though she obviously doesn’t take the warnings from the staff seriously?

It’s gotten to the point where I want to move out but I shouldn’t have to, right?

Follow up with the accommodation staff and emphasize the necessity of them taking appropriate action in regards to this constant noise violation. If anyone is to move, in theory, this needs to be your roommate as you haven not crossed any boundaries. Be proactive, and keep at the accommodation staff. If this proves to be unsuccessful, seek out help from the Student Administration/Student Services Department. You need to be able to sleep comfortably and have your rights respected.

If there are rules for the accommodation about loud music insist the staff enforce them. You have been as considerate as you can and have asked her nicely. It is time to get nasty.
