no..... only political accountability on the part of voters can do that...

but...as we all know, that's a lot of work and it seems 'accountability' has been a dirty word for decades now in schools..

the idea that we just need just need to pick a team, root for them and demonize all others is actually how corruption becomes systemic.... which is why so many of the most-corrupt and entrenched politicians like to encourage the "us/them" partisan stoogery so common today...

yes, but what we need, for at least a period of time, is for the Dems to be in control of both chambers of congress and the white house, so they can enact laws that make it more difficult for corruption to be possible in the government, they are the only party who is serious about this in their platform and have a road map to get it done
