Will political competition reduce corruption?

Having a truthful media will end corruption.

I doubt that correlation can be made.
But it does help keep abuses of Power held in check.
The entire electoral process is loaded with corruption and it seems the Most Extreme get rewarded by winning in Primary Elections. That can't possibly result in less corruption.
A lot of corrupt form one Party may block the corrupt from an opposing Party, but that does not eliminate corruption.
