How do I get this eBay seller to lower the price?

came across these 2 items I like, but seem way over priced. I looked up on watchcount.com that they have been listed for 6 months now and nobody has bought them. I asked the seller to lower the price and said no. Then told him how long it has been listed and i'm the only one interested and he still refuses. How do i get him to go cheaper? Only items on eBay

One email to ask if he'd consider lowering the price was probably okay. A second one telling him you are the only possible buyer probably got you permanently blocked from every bidding on his auctions.

I know *I* would block you.

You have no power over the seller. What he has on for a price is what the price is. Sorry.

You don't. He's in no rush to sell and is fine waiting for a higher price.

Yeah Id block you. You would never get it .

You asked...nothing more than you can do.

Do you really think the seller needed to be reminded of the length of time?? That's insulting...but business is still business.

Yeah some people want new price for their junk. You make an offer and give them your contact details and tell them to contact you when they realise they are asking too much and are willing to compromise. I had a friend who had a bull bar off the front of a car he sold who was asking too much. The bull bar has sat in his shed for 30 years as he refused to lower the price and now the car it fitted no longer exists so he cannot sell it as he waited too long hanging out for an unrealistic price. Some people are too stupid for their own good.

You can't. If he refuses that's his choice.

You don't. If he can't get what he wants, then he wants to keep the items. He'd rather not sell than have to lower the price.

The same way the seller gets you to pay more.

You could ask again, but they will probably block you.

They own the items and have no obligation to sell them to you at a lower price. Its common for people to list things for a high price on the logic that they want to keep the item but if they can get a high price they'd sell it.

If you want the item, then pay the price the seller is asking. If you can live with the item, then wait another month and then message them and ask them if they would consider a discount.
