Who really rules this world?
If God were the ruler of this world, would there be so much suffering?
Many people believe that the true God is the ruler of this world. But if that were true, would the earth be so filled with suffering? (Deuteronomy 32:4, 5) According to the Bible, the world is under the control of someone evil. —Read 1 John 5:19.
How did someone evil gain control over mankind? At the beginning of human history, an angel rebelled against God and urged the first human pair to rebel too. (Genesis 3:1-6) The couple chose to obey that rebel angel, Satan, making him their ruler. Almighty God is the only rightful Ruler, but he wants people to choose his rulership because they love him. (Deuteronomy 6:6; 30:16, 19) Sadly, most of mankind have been misled into making the same bad choice as did the first human pair. —Read Revelation 12:9.

Paul wrote this mid first century AD. Much has changed since then. God has judged Satan and he has been roasting in hell for a very long time

Since then, we are our own worst enemies. Learn to bridle your flesh through the Spirit of God. You can't blame Satan for your sinful attractions and your sins. He has a solid alibi.

Satan is only a belief. What people refer to as Satan is actually a belief in the mind that believes it is separate from God and holds thoughts of evil. Sometimes these thoughts are manifested in evil behavior. In another part of the mind is the Holy Spirit, which holds good thoughts. This part of the mind produces good behavior. Every second the human being is deciding which thought system to listen to. Hence there is both good and evil in the world.

All creatures including human beings are ruled by spirits. God never bothers who believes in Him. These consequences are created by spirits. It's a natural system. After death no one lives in any form. Heaven and hell are only for spirits, not for human beings. Spirits are separate elements. A human being is not a single spirit. A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. A human being during his/her lifetime is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get it's mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.
