What factors influence one's class in society?

It is a combination of factors including education, income, upbringing/manners, culture, and even ethnic background and religion. And all of that does change from country to country. Money alone does not make a person refined or cultured or "acceptable" to any particular social class, but it is certainly a key factor.
In the USA.....money, money, money.
In Britain....your ancestry pedigree + money.
its fairly simple isn't it there is a good book by Charles Dickens called Great Expectations where a poor farm boy helps a prisoner and is rewarded in his life by an anonymous benefactor and he is given rich boys life and becomes a gentleman of great Expectation in London he had the best in education and a salary of a gentleman a POOR BOY among the elite it says it all its money
