The Bible does not mention Halloween. However, both the ancient origins of Halloween and it's modern customs show it to be a celebration based on false beliefs about the dead and invisible spirits, or demons.

The Bible warren: "there must neve be anyone among you who …. consults ghost or spirits, or calls up the dead." Deuteronomy 18: 10-11

Christians may celebrate Halloween if they want to.
In the same breathe, Christians may decide NOT to celebrate Halloween, if they choose.

Whether they celebrate it or not, it has absolutely no effect upon their salvation.

Some believe it originated as a pagan devil worship. Others believe it is Christian origin celebrating the eve of All Hallows (Saints) Day in which the devil is mocked. I'm not a history scholar but my church celebrates it with fun spooky theme activities and decorations. Michael Landon who had 2 Christian themed TV shows made special hilarious Halloween episodes on both shows. It is only a sign that many Christians believe it is fine to celebrate it.

MANY Christian customs, holidays, sacraments, etc. are Christian versions of pagan tradition. I recently took the tour of Grace Cathedral, one of the biggest churches in San Francisco (pretty amazing if you're ever in the city), and on the main floor they have a labyrinth! Labyrinths are a thing today, popping up in public parks, hospitals, etc. but I didn't expect to see one in an Episcopal cathedral!

Halloween USED to be the night before All Souls Day, the day Christians honored their deceased relatives. Shouldn't every religion have a day for that?

You know how it is. Little children's faces light up to see Christmas decorations appear in stores, because they know Halloween is just around the corner!

Only if they want to have a little fun.

It was originally a Celtic Druid pagan celebration. Under the Romans, it was changed to have a Christian part.

I don't think it matters much because most people who participate in it are not Celtic Druids. Now, its just a thing we do in the culture. Most Christian denominations participate in it somehow as a fun celebration of kids dressing up and getting candy.

What would it be if Christians stopped participating. How would it change? I think if Christians stopped recognizing it as an event in the culture, it would take a bad turn.

My kids participate in it. They trick or treat grandma/grandpa and other friends/family. I don't let them dress up with all the blood and guts, or to scare anyone though. I draw the line at costume choices.

Of course NOT!!!

No. This event has it's roots with the ancient Celts who wanted to ward off spirits from doing them harm so they would leave food to appease them. Christians have no sharing with this. So when a child says 'trick or treat' in reality they are saying a treat or mischievous trick.

No, Christians should not celebrate Halloween. Halloween promotes evil, and many bad things happy on Halloween.
