I want to get Red Dead Redemption 2 but only have a normal Xbox one, should I upgrade?

I only have a normal Xbox one and it would be connected to my 1440p monitor, I want to really enjoy the game so I was thinking of getting an Xbox S or X but I don't know if it's worth it especially with the X because I don't have a 4k display. Should I just use my regular Xbox or would you recommend I upgrade, if upgrade then why?

unless you see a really good deal for the S, there should be no reason to upgrade. what you have now is sufficient for the casual gamer. but keep an eye out this winter for good holiday deals on the S. or even if you see one for the X, that's OK too, even if you don't have a 4K TV.
They only sell Xbox One S in 1TB options now for $300 new. and the X for $500. so if you have that money, and really want to see the visual enhancements, just go for the S if you don't have a 4K TV. like i said before, that will be more than enough for the casual gamer. but again, keep an eye out for deals this winter and holiday season in case you find one for a good price. then if you do, sell your old one on eBay.
