I am often very sad. I withdraw from people and don t trust doctors to help me. Things I once liked no longer interest me. What should I do?

This sounds on the face of it like a classic case of clinical depression and you are displaying a mistrust of the people who can actually help you, i.e. doctors. Clinical depression is a lifelong condition for most people who suffer from it, with periods of remission which can be brought about through drugs and therapy/counselling. Once you realise that there is no permanent cure, it may help you to really understand that you need medical intervention, as it's your best hope of living a 'normal' life, whatever normal is. So let's say a happier life.
Just keep trying with this. Don't brush off help and advice given by the medical profession. They don't have a magic bullet for this difficult condition, which basically you just have to learn to live with, as does a diabetic with diabetes, and take what treatment's offered to get you through the bad times.
