1400 calories a day or more.
Motivation for weight loss. Look at yourself nude in a full-length mirror every day, including seeing yourself from behind. THEN visualize what you will look like when you have lost the weight, and imagine striding through your daily life with head held high.
Also, plan out your caloric intake the night before and never eat anything that you did NOT plan for ahead of time.
At first, this will be time-consuming, but as you get used to combinations that are healthy, filling and low-calorie, it becomes easier and easier. And you also make up a list of foods and meals that are low cal.
For instance, for breakfast I have microwave oatmeal cooked with fresh/frozen raspberries and topped with low-fat vanilla yogurt. Low-calorie, healthy, filling.
