Generally, if the activity brings you closer to other people (and lots of them), I would recommend to stay home. Of course, this was 3 days ago, but try to keep the following tip in mind: If you feel bad enough that you wish you didn't get sick, then don't go where others are and give them what you have. Hope you feel better. Good hydration (in my opinion) is to either keep a bottle filled with distilled water (filtered) nearby, or water down fruit juice so only the slightest taste remains. You'll taste the sugar (barely), and will drink a lot.
