Why do many find it hard to pray?

most do not know how to pray.

Isa 43:25-26 is where you begin (through JESUS, to THE HEAVENLY FATHER).
there is no other way to pray. (that is correct)

doubt hinders all prayers.
faith is key as well as love and obedience.

repentance must come first.
prayers for others TOUCH FATHER MOST.

why?

where is GOD'S GLORY and HONOR in a selfish prayer?
a prayer for a nice expensive car to show off in your neighborhood?

most churches fail in teaching prayer.

They don't believe anyone is listening. They are ashamed to be with God because of sin. They're not sure how. They have general anxiety or are bitter and don't know what they need to ask God for. Pride.

If you are a grown man, is it hard to ask your parents for money?

Not sure exactly, for me it was trying to think up the right things to pray about and how to correctly say the prayer. Then I found out that prayer can be just communing with God like we would do with any extremely best friend. Just talk with God throughout the day, now I pray continuously without ceasing throughout my day. God already knows what we need, but we need to ask to receive so every so often I put in a request but it's not the primary reason I talk to God.

I found out a long time ago that praying doesn't accomplish anything, and if I rolled up my sleeves and worked for what I wanted the results were much better. Every. Single. Time.

Some are not worshipping God correctly, are not sincere or have doubts. They need to believe and trust God; those that do are always heard.

Distractions and interruptions, laziness, not sure how to pray, so many cares they fill they can't pray, lack of faithfulness.

I DONT....U SPEAK TO GOD WHEN ALONE AND TELL HIM your troubles and ask for help with what is bothering you.

Talking to invisible friends is silly and childish

They don't know God. All you have to do is talk to him if you don't know any prayers. He'll hear you.

I find it as easy as breathing, so I don't know. Maybe they aren't very verbal, or maybe they don't feel close to God.

I am an atheist. Praying isn’t hard. Just pointless from my perspective.

... PRAYER by definition is to get a SUPERNATURAL proposition ( proposals ) attention or in Christianity the practice of ANCESTOR WORSHIP

..as in BELIEVING one actually TALKING to the DECEASED whom no longer EXIST ..

VENERATION of the DEAD and BELIEVING they can hear you and speak to you ..

Like SAINTS JESUS or Mary aka in polytheism as CULTURAL HERO worship ..

2...they don`t want to take the time
3...they would rather do it themselves

Because we need to be humble and pride is not part of holiness

Many find it hard to pray because they don’t have freeness of speech towards god. Maybe they have engaged in wrong acts and they continue doing them and think that god will not forgive them anymore. This makes it hard for people to pray to god. Another factor is that they’re hearts condemn them even after they prayed, maybe asking for forgiveness and they feel as though god haven’t forgiven them for their sins. 1 John 3:20 assures us that god is greater than our hearts. You need to trust in God. Proverbs 3:5-6 Many people pray to God also and then they take the prayer back by their faith and actions.
You need to keep asking when you pray. And sometimes the prayers answer comes in ways you least expect it.

Good question, Shirley. I guess they don’t believe in it or they feel it’s protocol driven. Many don’t understand it can be a simple conversation with God.

It's not a hard job but if you don't have that spirit you can't. For everything humans need a spirit. A human being starts to do anything only after the possession of a spirit. All creatures including human beings are ruled by spirits. Spirits are separate elements. A human being is not a single spirit. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get it's mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

All you need is a little effort in the beginning. Spend just 5 to 10 seconds a day. Then gradually you will increase the duration yourself.

I have seen documentaries of so many victims being tortured and murdered in wars and knowing that they prayed for mercy to no avail. And yet, to think god would pass them over to hear my puny prayers? If he did, that would make me very sad indeed. So, I quit praying! I don't pray!

People feel their not worthy. Perhaps because they have done bad things.
