"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their reward.
"But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.…"

Do we need to be in a special position when we pray?
No, God doesn’t ask us to kneel, sit, or stand when we pray.
The Bible teaches us that we can talk to God in any respectful position. (1 Chronicles 17:16; Nehemiah 8:6; Daniel 6:10; Mark 11:25)
What is most important to God is, not our position when we pray, but that we talk to him with the right attitude.
We can pray out loud or silently wherever we are and at anytime during the day or night. When we pray to God, we can trust that he will hear us even when nobody else does.
Not as a rule, like Islamic five times a day thing. We should pray sincerely and not show off in a sanctimonious way.
No.
In the New Testament we see approval of many different prayer "positions" and many different prayer "locations"
including in public
though Jesus does advise us to pray in private to avoid the "reward" of public approval.
No. I once prayed lying on a street in the dark on a January night. My wrist was broken and I couldn't get up because of the pain. When I realized I could become road kill, I started praying. The oncoming car stopped less than fifteen feet in front of me.

As with many things in the bible, there are ways to pray, and there are instructions on how to pray any way you want to. There is no wrong way to pray. Praying is the important thing. It leads to a relationship with the Almighty. Pray any way you want.
Matthew 6:5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
No. Praying is talking to God. Any attempt to make a ritual out of it is just more worthless religion.
No, Jesus prayed looking towards heaven.
Matthew 14:19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.
Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Jesus gave many models on prayer but never suggested a position to be in to do so.
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
To "pray without ceasing" indicates that we can pray always and everywhere, regardless of what posture or position we are in. Consider the possibilities in multi-tasking, working and praying at the same time. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 / Luke 18:1 / Luke 21:36
NO WE CAN PRAY IN OUR HEADS AND HE WILL STILL KNOW....WE CAN PRAY WHEN SWIMMING, WALKING WHATEVER AND HE WILL KNOW...HE CAN READ MINDS...I WHISPER MY PRAYERS AT NIGHT BEFORE I SLEEP CUZ hubby is usually already sleeping. But when he is gone I can say them out loud..
No. You can do the traditional way and go to a church, or you can pray while walking down the street. Anywhere, anytime, however you are sitting, is fine.
Jehovah also requires that those who approach him in prayer do so with humility and sincerity. Do we not have reason to be humble when speaking to Jehovah? When people have the opportunity to speak to a king or a president, they usually do so respectfully, acknowledging the ruler’s high position. How much more so should we be respectful when approaching Jehovah! (Psalm 138:6) After all, he is “God Almighty.” (Genesis 17:1) When we pray to God, the manner in which we approach him should show that we humbly recognize our position before him. Such humility will also move us to pray from our heart in sincerity, avoiding routine, repetitive prayers.—Matthew 6:7, 8.

There’s no specific position or place that a person must pray. The Bible also have examples of one who prayed to Jehovah god, how they prayed and where they prayed. 1 chronicles 17:16 it mentions how king David sat Down before Jehovah and prayed. So, there is no certain position we must take to pray to Jehovah but do we have to make sure when we pray to him we recognize who he is and his position as god almighty (Genesis 17:1). Not specifically. It does say things like fall on your knees, or lift your eyes to Heaven, and things like that, but, these are not directives, but suggestions. There are many ways to pray.
Yes, it does , pray in secret and enter the closet
It prohibits very few things in prayer , don't pray like a hyoocrite, don't pray with much repitition, don't pray to be seen of others, but there is allowance to pray in public and though it's not listed my pet peeve is to not pray long sermons
Officially one should pray on their knees, one knee is allowed also, and to pray with head bowed, because there is a biological reaction when praying like this, and we should always pray with sincerity, not asking amiss, the prayer of faith is described as a healing power but some healing needs much faith and fasting
We should pray in a position of submission to God and his will.
