To be honest - no one really cares about that information. Having such information in the passport will expedite contact in case of the holder's emergency overseas. However, in most of the case, the local authority will contact the Chinese Embassies/Consulates first. Then the Central Government will contact HKSAR Government, so that the HKSAR Government can provide necessary assistance.

To answer your question, if you have not corrected the information, let it be. Some people may see correcting the information tampering the passport. If you insisted correcting the information, simply cross out the old information and make the change (old information) visible so that people can tell you are not tampering the passport. All other methods may void your passport's validity.
