1.What is heat (or thermal energy) and how does it relate to temperature?

2.What is electric current and how does it flow through an electrical conductor?

3.What is an electrical potential difference and how is it measured?

Thermal energy is indirectly related to temperature. That is, when the temperature of an object goes up, so does the thermal energy. The amount of thermal energy depends on the mass and the specific heat of the object.

Electric current is the flow of electrons, simplistically. One amp of current is one coulomb of charge flowing past a point in one second. 1 coulomb = 6.242e18 electrons

The flow is caused by the potential diffference, or voltage, between the ends of the conductor.
