"think of" 與 "think about" 有什麼分別？

在很多情況下兩者意思一樣可互換，例如
"They say Greece may leave the Eurozone. What do you think of/about that?"
他們說希臘可能會脫離歐盟，你對該事看法如何?
"I'm thinking of/about looking for a new job"
我正在考慮找一份新工作
在某些句詞下，think of something 意為你只是知道有這件事，但是對該事並無深入考慮 -- 臨時性的想起或認為
在某些句詞下，think about something – 通常意指你對該事應有深入之關心與注意 -- 某一概念你該有所認知
"I never thought of doing that!"
我從沒想到作那事 – 臨時性的問題，很可能是過去從未想過該事，對該事不了解
Can you think of any words to describe smile?
那些字可用來描述微笑 -- 你過去對這問題不會特別注意 – 你是臨時被問這個問題
"Have you thought about my birthday present?"
你有沒有想該送我的生日禮物 – 你應該知道該送生日禮物給我
What do girls think about quiet guys?
女生對文靜的男生看法如何? – 女生對文靜男生通常會有特定看法 – 非臨時性或過去無概念

ii) ''think about'' : 解 something to ''consider'' more closely (考慮)

[B] 但當用於 講述人 時 :-

"think of" 與 "think about" 的意思則「相近」

eg. "I am thinking of you." ~ "I am thinking about you."
意思 都是: 我在「想」你。
