What are options for students who don t have a cosigner?

I owe summer tuition and I ve tried to no avail to get a cosigner. I ve covered what I can with summer financial aid and scholarships and I still have over 2000 to cover. I ve asked the school if there is anything they can do to cut some costs and they ve dwindled it down to as little as possible. My parents won t or can t cosign and I don t have any other cosigner. I ve tried applying for a loan on my own but my credit isn t good and almost non-existent. I m at my breaking point and completely frustrated. Are there other options to cover these college costs without a cosigner?

Your other options are:
1) Get a job, or a second job if you already have one.
2) Reduce your enrollment units to something you can afford.
3) Transfer to a cheaper college/community college.
4) Apply for outside scholarships
5) Join the military and let them pay for college when you are in a better position.
Have you asked your financial aid department what else they may have for you?

Talk to financial aid at your school to find out if you have any other loan options that don't require a co-signer.
You need to talk to the bursar's office and get on a payment plan for what you owe. You'll need to pay it off before you'll be allowed to enroll in future classes, but at least this will allow you to keep these summer classes, as I'm assuming it's too late to drop them without financial penalty.

Sorry to say you should of figured out full payament before taking the summer classes.
Using finanacial and scholarships for summer sessions isn’t the best route. You get more for your money by using them only for fall and spring terms when you can take more credits.
Really there isn’t much you can do, if you have already taken the classes T ake off a semester and work, pay the bill off so you can register for classes again.

Do you have any other relatives who might be willing to privately loan you the money?
