Why do you we still celebrate Independence Day?

I think we should work on freeing ourselves from our own governments control.
Without government, who provides the military, or the police?? Who fixes the roads?? Who builds the schools & educates the children, etc. And these are only some of the things the govt does. Without them, we'd have to do all this ourselves.

The only thing worse than government, is NO GOVERNMENT.

Winning our independence was a critical advancement in the shift from tyrannical conquering slavery thinking to liberty-based principles that has changed the world for the better. This shift wasn't perfect or pretty, but it is very important...not something to take for granted just because you don't like who the current President is. And with the current globalist movement being based on anti-liberty principles, there's even more of a need to loudly and boldly celebrate our Independence Day.

I think you should work on learning what apostrophes are for.

Because we are thankful for the efforts and sacrifices the revolutionary colonials made which gave us Americans the opportunity to develop the greatest country in the world with the greatest opportunity to achieve individual independence.

Because it's a fun Holiday. We are allowed to have fun, aren't we?

I celebrate the day off from work.

It's a holiday. Just be happy for a day off and be grateful for where you are.
