Does anyone do astrology with 13 signs?

Western astrology is not lunar based.
Vedic astrology does work with the Lunar "mansions" and puts a lot of significance on them. More than they put on the signs themselves. Vedic astrology assumes that your life is fated and you cannot change it, so the purpose of the individual birthchart is to convince the person to accept their fate rather than try to set goals for themselves. I don't care for that approach to life .. it is disempowering and limits your potential because you stop reaching.

Western astrology works with 12 "signs". Everyone has ALL 12 signs in their birthchart. But the signs that are the strongest influences on an individual personality will be those signs that had any of the 10 "planets" moving through them at the moment that person was born.

Our calendar is solar-based. It operates on Earth's revolution around the Sun.,
Lunar based calendars are based on Moon phases.
Both have their own validity .. in terms of astronomy.
In terms of astrology, the solar-based system seems to produce more valid results, but ONLY if we are working with individual birthcharts done up for the moment of birth and the location of birth .. with all of the 40-50 factors in it rather than ONLY considering what sign Sun was moving through.

Astrology is fake. Also, a year is 12.4 lunar months, not 13.

There are a few 13 sign sites. Just do a search. Like the rest, they do no better than any other version. Twelve divides easy. 13 is a prime.

Note the two larger answers. Astrology proponents are not on the same page. Point of view is what you get here. I’m right and everyone else is wrong. Inconsistency and contradictions are red flags.

Astrology is belief that can’t make factual claims based on evidence and testing. It’s magic, not a philosophical position.
