They don't know what they want. The women that I've seen claiming to be feminists are haters. A strong, confident woman doesn't need to identify with women who are "off balance" such as the ones claiming to be feminists today. Like the one that called Ivanka a C. That's so ugly, crude, rude and disgusting. That's not a real woman talking, that's someone trying to feel relevant. I want to see strong, self-confident, proud women who know their own strength and don't need to vocalize or be crude, which just shows how weak you truly are. A real woman emulates her strength, she doesn't need to tell anybody, you just know.

Until 1920 women could not vote. Before that, a woman could be forced to marry her rapist, could not own property, and there were virtually no women in the corporate world.

They want freedom of having private fitness clubs with no men allowed, but the freedom to complain if men have one of their own. They want freedom to get paid the same salary as men, but the freedom to take long lunches and hide in the bathroom for half the day. They want freedom of joining the army, but the freedom to stay silent on the no women in combat rule. The hipocrisy is endless. The old feminists were simply women who wanted equal rights and now we have them. Now, there are women who call themselves feminists, simply because they watch Lifetime and hate men.

I cannot speak for all feminists, but here's what I want (in terms of gender, not in terms of all things ever)
I'd like to live in a world where your gender... pretty much only matters to people who potentially want to boink you.
I want to live in a world where no one is forced or pressured into narrow gender roles that may or may not fit.
I want a world where women genuinely have an equal shot at getting into "male" careers if they have what it takes, and likewise for men and "female" careers. I want a world where traditionally feminine roles (nurse, teacher, homemaker) are valued and respected.
I want a world where no one's reproductive status or reproductive plans will involuntarily keep them out of the job market. I want a world where safe and effective birth control is available to anyone who wants it. I want a world where child care is treated as everyone's problem, not just a "women's issue". I want a world where rates of maternal mortality are going *down* in the country I live in, not up.
And probably other things, but that's most of it.

To be treated as equals? To be paid according to their work ethic and not their gender? To not be subjected to sexual misconduct? To not be discredited because they are “a woman”? Basically to have the same rights that straight white men have. Same goes for black people, gay people, transgendered people, Muslims, Mexicans and all other minorities. They all want to be treated with the same respect as straight white males. Why is that such a difficult idea for some people to grasp?

They want things to get better for women.
They are not looking for equality, though they'll use the word as a tool to help get what they want. It's not that they hate men, it's that they DO NOT CARE. They certainly care about their male relatives, sons, husbands, etc - but they don't connect those men with other men. The other men are nameless faceless people in the crowd who need to give things up to improve things for women.
