How do I use app data from another harddrive?

I have a new computer, new harddrive, so new appdata folder for all my info to be located, but I have my old harddrive, with all my programs and all still accessible however they are using the new computers appdata. How can I change it so they only use the old drives appdata, not the new one?

For example, my chrome browser is on there, but there is a problem exporting my old passwords and such, so I thought it would solve it all if I get the chrome browser thats installed on the old hard drive, to use its original data to use my saved passwords.

Any ideas?

You need to use a drive cloning utility, to copy all of your old programs and user data over to the new drive. Examples of driving cloning utils are Macrium Reflect Free Edition, and Acronis TrueImage Free Edition.

Noooooo haha installing programs does way more than just putting it into the program files x86 folder. If you really want everything the same, you need to clone the old drive to the new one...otherwise you can't just copy program data over.

you may not be able to use app data simply by copying folders. With google chrome as long as you sign in with the same credentials all your passwords and bookmarks will available on the new computer. With other programs you may need to export the data e.g. songs documents videos to an external hard drive/flash drive and copy them over
